The subjects debated ranged from the role of the South-South co-operation and the future “architecture” for development co-operation to existing − and as yet largely unmet − commitments to improve aid effectiveness.This took place against the background of major changes – changing global relations, the rise of new South powers, increasing South-South co-operation, new mechanisms and new sources of development finance. How will this changing landscape affect the co-operation for development?

Jon Lomøy is Director of the OECD Development Co-operation Directorate in Paris. Lomøy is a former Norwegian ambassador to Zambia and Tanzania. He has held several senior positions at the Norwegian Agency for Development Co-operation (Norad) and at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
